the date with Alexander Bluemoon

chapter 6(the date with Alexander Bluemoon)

Hazel's Point Of View:

My neck snapped to the right as my cheek stung. I sighed, walking past her without saying another word. I knew she was just a pain in the ass but I wouldn't stoop so low to her level and cause a scene at the grocery store.

I arrived home and went straight to the kitchen to cook up something while Alex was on call with someone.

I was almost done cooking and I took a spoon of the sauce and went to feed it to him while he was doing a few things on his laptop.

“Careful, it's hot." I warned, smiling.

“What do I look like? A baby?" He laughed before opening his mouth and taking the spoon in. He nodded. “Nice sauce. But I was actually planning on us eating out tonight." He spoke, fixing his gaze on the laptop.

"Is this you asking me on a date?”I asked, smiling.

He laughed, “Only a man who believes in love can do that. Love sucks, I mean love does not exist.” He replied.

"What a weird conversation. Anyway, I'll go on the date with you.” I responded before running back into the kitchen and turning off the stove. “I should go get ready. Will be here soon." I added, heading towards the stairs.

I went into my room, grabbing one of the corset dresses he got for me. He would make such a great gentleman but there he was, being hot, being a notorious and desperate mafia hungry for power. I never thought I'd ever be so interested in a bad boy.

Well, Damian was one bad boy in disguise, he fucking fooled me and broke my trust. I'm not so sure I'd be ready for love anytime soon, so I wouldn't break my heart.

Alex was just a stepping stone to heal, right? Right, Hazel?!! Oh fuck me, yes he was but
.what was this feeling I couldn't describe. It wasn't love for sure but
. God damnit

I slipped into the blue dress and picked a black designer shades to go with it with a black bag and a few jewelries. Of course, I would never dare miss these babies; the black block heels.

I looked perfect. I descended down the stairs. Alexander was waiting for me in the living room, still dressed the same.

I stood there, watching him from behind in content.

‘Alex has something to benefit from you, trust me’

'He's a heartbreaker’.

Those words rang in my head.

I sighed. Could her words be real or just runours? Alex seemed sweet to me, though he was a bit toxic, but he didn't look like someone who had the time to break someone's heart. Besides, only an intact heart can be broken, right? You can't break a shattered one!

“Why are you staring at me like that?” His voice jolted me back to reality. I walked forward, “how did you know I was staring at you? You're so sensitive" I groaned.

"It's creepy, never stare at me like that.” He laughed before standing.

"Let's go.” He added, walking towards the door. He didn't even bother asking for my hand, I was starting to see his toxic part but either way, he was still him, he was still the Alexander Bluemoon I knew.

“Are you not getting ready? Do not tell me you're planning to leave like
.this?”I blurted out, frowning.

"What do you mean like this?” He asked.

I stared at him from his rough curled up hair to his wrinkled shirt that was unbuttoned, exposing his smooth and well sculpted tattooed abs. He had black trousers and black shoes accompanying his shirt. His hair really looked messed up, nevertheless he was hot. His blue eyes stood out of his long black lashes.

His face was so perfect- His lip piercing, his eye brow piercing, his industrial ear piercing, his perfect dimples.

I felt my legs lose composure. How did I not find him earlier!

“What's wrong with my looks?" He jolted me back to reality.

"I- I
.y-” I stuttered, unable to put together a sentence. “Your hair!" I finally found my tongue.

He sighed, gesturing for me to come.

I obeyed and he took us to the car where he took a bottle of water and popped his head out of the window, pouring the water on his hair.

“I-" before o could even finish, he popped his head back in the car, raking his fingers through his hair as he casted his blues on me.

I was speechless, his hair was perfect. Water did the magic. My eyes widened as my jaw dropped.

His gaze traveled down to my lips, making my heart skip a beat while I fixed my gaze on his eyes. I swallowed hard before licking my lips.

I didn't know what got over me, I drew my face closer to his, my breath becoming more shallow.

He immediately snapped out, “We'd be going to a nearby five star restaurant.” He spoke, returning his face to the road as he twisted the key, igniting the engine.

Who fucking asked? Asshole, bring me those lips!!

I nodded quietly, biting my lips in frustration as I withdrew my face.

The ride was tranquil and we soon arrived at a restaurant and like he promised, it was five star. The lights alone illuminated the streets. We walked in and got our table at the rooftop.

“Crap. It's chilly here." I protested, rubbing my arms.

He didn't reply, he only smiled even though I could tell it wasn't genuine, he wasn't smiling with his eyes.

We both sat and ordered our food, stealing glances at each other more like I was stealing glances at him. I couldn't just resist a face that was sculpted by the moon goddess herself.

We ate quietly and somehow, I began to feel guilty for trying to kiss him. What on Earth was I even thinking for the moon goddess's sake?! He wasn't someone like that! All he was after was power and revenge, love wasn't in his to-do list.

“Do you believe in fate?" His abrupt question broke into my thoughts.
