Chapter 3(Human realm)

Hazel's Point Of View:

I raced through the forest, my chest heaving up and down as I looked behind me, trying to outrun the wolves chasing after me.

Sweat trickled down my forehead, though my palm and feet were cold. I suddenly felt my energy constantly exhausting but I couldn't stop.

I had to keep putting a leg in front of the other as every moment swept by.

This was my life now since Damian threw me out of the pack. I had been living outside the boundaries of every pack and everyone who crossed paths with me always tried to kill me as I looked more or less like a rogue.

They suddenly stopped chasing me. I was confused for a while but I didn't stop, I took advantage of the moment.

I then heard them howling loudly, making my eyes widen.

“Oh shit!" I exclaimed, still sprinting.

I groaned in pain as I hit my head against a hard surface that abruptly seemed to appear out of nowhere.

I fell to the floor, feeling dizzy as something warm trickled down my nostrils. I looked up to see a huge white wolf before me. Though I was in pain, I couldn't help but think he was sculpted by a perfectionist.

He was stunning. His white fur shiny, his paws clean, his green eyes magnificent- they looked like the heart of the forest.

He stepped closer to me, exposing his gritted teeth.

I turned, searching for a place I could escape from but I was surrounded.

“She's a rogue!" One of them accused me from behind.

"Send her to the human realm.” The white wolf commanded, his cold voice dominant.

He turned to leave immediately while his men grabbed me.

“Let me go!!" I fought, kicking my legs.

'BANG!’ I heard, feeling something hard hit my head from behind.

…………………

Sun rays hit my eyes, forcing me to roll over and groan in frustration. I tried going back to sleep again but I couldn't.

I was forced to open my eyes. My eyes flew open as realization struck me like a moving train that I didn't even know where I was.

I quickly sat, looking around the room until my eyes landed on a guy standing by the door, staring at me with a smirk on his lips.

He walked towards me, running his hand through his black curled up hair, making each strand slick back to reveal his ice blue eyes.

I grabbed the bottle of water I found on the nightstand and pointed it at him.

“Don't you fucking come near me?!" I yelled, commanding him as my chest heaved up and down as I eyed him.

He shook his head in what seemed like disappointment. He walked nearer and sat at the edge of the bed, taking the bottle away from my hand as his warm hands slightly rubbed against my skin, sending shivers down my spine.

“Who are you?” I questioned, stealing glances at his tattooed arm.

“I'm Alex. And you're welcome, I saved your life." He replied, his voice deep and harmonious.

“In what way?" I asked.

“My car hit you." He spoke so lightly as if an accident was something so light. “However, you only have a bruise on your knee, your skull isn't cracked.” He added.

I sighed, remembering everything that had happened to me recently. My life was already a mess and now more mess?

However, thanks to this guy, I slept tight. At least I didn't have another sleepless night.

He left the room and came back with some clothes, dumping them on the bed.

“Take your bath, get dressed and leave. I already had the worst five days of my life.” He spoke, boring into me with his eyes.

I bit my lower lip, realizing I had nowhere to go. I was in the human world and I knew absolutely no one except for this hot looking dude who seemed to be cold-hearted and notorious.

“I'm not leaving" I spat. I was shocked by my own words, not knowing where that courage came from.

I was so broken that I didn't know I had this kind of courage sooner, Damian already planted such intense fear in me.

“You are," He commanded,

I rolled my eyes, sighing, "You can't just cause me pain after literally running over me, and expect me to just leave without asking for anything in return.” I retorted.

"What do you want? Money?! Just name the price!” He snickered, running his hands through his hair again, slicking them back.

“I want to stay here. I'm not leaving until……. further notice” I blurted out.

He scoffed, "Fine. Just don't get Tangled in my business. Or I'll throw you out.” He threatened before leaving.

"Oh, what a weirdo.” I shook my head, putting my hair into a messy bun with a scrunchie I had around my arm.
