Calix sat at his desk, mulling over Sev's words.

So the man who had confronted Jane earlier, claiming to be the father of her baby, was the one at fault. This realization brought a surge of determination to Calix; he hadn't failed to recognize the woman he should love and protect.

Jane, abandoned by the man she loved, left pregnant while he went on to marry another woman.

In that moment, Calix felt an overwhelming urge to intervene, to win Jane's favor. He wanted to rescue her from that despicable man who had abandoned her and now had the audacity to claim her child.

Meanwhile, Jane though composed on the outside, was drowned by the flood of emotions overwhelming her. As everything finally sank in, and Dean, now seated at one of the tables in the cafe, revealed that he knew about her pregnancy, made her feel a rush of anxiety and uncertainty.

"Shift's over, baby mama," Hailey playfully informed Jane, noticing her weakened nod.

"Hey... Are you okay?" Hailey asked, concern evident
