Chapter 42

After Ember was done eating she went outside where she found Axle seated down on the chair. He was looking at the sky, she looked at his plate and it was empty. She was just thankful that he ate his food. She thought that he was not going to eat since he was mad at her. She took the plate and she made her way into the kitchen. She put the plate in the kitchen sink where she had put hers and the things that they had used to make the food. She turned the tap on and she poured some soap in the sink.

She then turned the tap on as soon as the sink was filled with water. She then started washing the dishes. Axle entered the kitchen and he walked towards Ember. He then wrapped his arms around her waist. She almost jumped because he had taken her by surprise and she did not hear him enter. "Ember I am sorry about what happened earlier. I shouldn't have talked to you the way I did. I am sorry."He said.
