Her bodyguards were missing at the scene too and her phone, we retrieved it from one of the cops. I sat in my car blood boiling as I gripped my phone hard, watching Victor and the detective talking next to what was left of my car.

The image refused to leave my head even as I closed my eyes to try and concentrate.

After getting off the phone with my grandfather, I've never felt so lost and so confused. Besides that feeling plaguing my mind, my body trembled as I imagined what she could possibly be going through right now.

Who would put their hands on her?

“Stop yelling, boy,” My grandfather sneered into the phone when I barked at him to release her or else I'd burn the company to the ground.

“You wouldn't dare go against what has fed you and kept you going for years-”

“Try me. If you don't release her alive,” I emphasised. “In the next ten minutes-”

“She could be dead in under ten minutes, whoever has her must have a bone to pick with you,” he
