Chapter 41: Strange

I stared at Ryne for quite some time in utter confusion. Why did he want to talk to me so badly? Better yet, why was he talking to me this way and acting like I was causing him pain? Well, there was only one way to find out. I was going to have to talk to him...against my mate's wishes. I knew if Tyga found out about any of this he would be furious with me and probably kill Ryne.

I closed my eyes, took in a deep breath, and then released it.

"Okay, Ryne, what do you need to talk to me about," I asked, sighing.

"Come into the woods so no one sees us," he said. I frowned.

"I am most certainly not going into the woods with you!" I huffed. Was this man truly ignorant? He must know that I'm aware he has some kind of affiliation with the rogues, yet he has the audacity to ask me to step into the woods, which my mate has forbid me from, with him?
