They’ve crossed over the border. There's an explosion of butterflies in my stomach at the thought of seeing Lux again. Jax is perked up in my head and I know that if we were in our wolf form then he would be wagging his tail like a little pup.
The moment their vehicle arrived a patrol member let me know that they were headed to our house. I stand up and head out of my office and towards the stairs and as I get down there I smile seeing Christopher and Nadia together.
Nadia smiles at me knowing how eager I am to see Lux and I smile back at her. She's been nervous about Lux and how she's been adjusting ever since she got here. But at the same time once she realized how good of a man Christopher is she couldn't bring herself to leave again.
They've been taking things really slow, but they both seem smitten with one another. My eyes widen as I notice a mark on her that wasn't there yesterday. I smirk, “Nice mark.”
