The trip to the Dark Moon Pack is long, at least a 12-hour drive. Which my dad insisted that we drive as to not draw attention to ourselves. I miss my mate already.
Genevieve didn’t feel like she could leave her fairy clan… realm… whatever you call it, but her community. Since we didn’t know when we’d be coming back she said that she couldn’t leave not knowing if she would be needed.
I understand, but it doesn’t stop my heart from aching for her. I wonder if the mate bond works the same for her. Like, I know she’s going to miss me because we’ve been spending all of our time together, but does the mate bond make her ache for me the same way I do for her?
