Jax surprised me when he pushed himself forward at Kodi’s command.
He rarely forces me back like that and it took me a moment to take control again. When I do I see that Lux is still taken over by Kodi as she looks in Kai’s direction and asks, “What does that mean?”
I look at Kai who has been taken over by his wolf, Loki. Loki looks me up and down and growls softly before telling Kodi, “Jax isn’t with us now. We’ll talk later.”Kodi tries to fight him, “Loki,”“Not now.” He snaps and I watch as Kai’s eyes close and when they open, I see that his wolf has gone away. Kai looks confused as he stares at me and then looks towards Lux who still has her wolf in charge.Her face is scrunched up in frustration and she tells me, “Bring Jax back.”
I sigh, “Not right now, Kodi.”
Her lower lip quivers and she snaps at me, “I just got him back! You can’t take him from me again.”
