CHAPTER 38

Sam stared out the sea the following morning as she continued to sit on the beach, lost in her own thoughts.

Despite feeling exhausted last night, Sam’s body clock still woke her up in her usual time in the morning. She carefully looked up at Damian, who is sleeping heavily before she moved away from him slowly, wincing at the pain of her body. She had noted the amount of alcohol he drank from last night and guessed it’s enough to make him sleep longer.

Standing up, Sam immediately saw the bed cover that he threw on the floor. The stain of blood on the fabric made her grimace lightly, knowing well enough that Damian will be demanding answers from her as soon as he is up.

Her secret is out and the charade’s over.

Gathering the cover as well as their discarded clothing, Sam then went to the bathroom and folded them before putting in the laundry basket. She turned towards the mirror and stared at her naked self.

There were bite marks all over her body, most of them found around her breas
