CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY

SALLY

"Ma'am," Alicia snapped me out of my thoughts.

I had been staring into space and blanking out throughout the meeting. I had done everything to try and concentrate, yet nothing was working. I couldn't stop thinking about the fact Alex was still seeing Beverly.

I kept replaying the image of Beverly riding Alex so hard in my head. I couldn't pay attention in the meeting.

"Are you okay, ma'am?" Alicia asked me.

I nodded and forced a smile.

"Have you been able to sign those?" Mr Johnson asked me.

"Sir, please I didn't get the last information. I was a little distracted. "

The board members began to murmur among themselves. I got carried away once again. Alicia tapped me. She had this worried look in her eyes. She wasn't confused that I was okay.

"Can this meeting be adjourned?" I requested.

There was a pause for a while before the board members began to murmur among themselves. After deliberating on the matter, we decided to end the meeting.
