CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN

BEVERLY

I felt completely weak. I felt like It was my last day on earth. I began to say my last prayer inwardly. My head was spinning, and my vision was getting blurred.

I could feel my eyes popping out of my eye socket, but I was now too weak to struggle.

Alex finally let go of me, and I fell to the floor and began to cough roughly. I was shocked. I never expected Alex to act this way over this little issue.

"A... let," I grabbed his foot, trying to get him to talk to me, but he pulled away from me forcefully.

"Let go!" He scolded and pushed me to the floor.

He stormed out of the room while I continued struggling to breathe. The maids rushed into the room and tried to help me up.

"Get away!" I shouted at the top of my voice, and they both ran out of the room together. "Why are you just coming? Didn't you realise I was dying a while ago?"
