CHAPTER EIGHTY SIX

SALLY

I paced the hospital with my heart racing and my eyes dripping uncontrollably. I wiped my tears continuously, yet my tears would not stop falling.

I could hear the sound of my heart as though my heart was in my ear. I kept praying in my heart that nothing bad would happen to Alex.

I stared at the operation room again, and my heart sank deeply into my stomach.

The force of the accident was so heavy, and it would take only grace to save Alex's life.

I was still pacing the hospital when Mr Williams suddenly walked into the hospital. I stopped pacing immediately when I sighted him, and he also stopped pacing. We both engaged in a staring contest as no one said a word to the other.

There was this awkward look in his eyes as he stared at me. This look that I really wished I could be able to define. There was something about the way he stared at me, and surprisingly, he didn't move an inch from where he stood, neither did he stop staring at me.
