CHAPTER FOURTY

SALLY

I stood by the side as Alicia scanned through my dresses. I wanted to look my best since it was my first date with Alex. I was excited to go out with him.

"This is incredible!" Alicia suddenly exclaimed.

She turned to me with a smile. I narrowed my eyes as she brought out a black shiny short gown.

"This is too short, and it's for flair."

She grabbed me by the arm and pulled me closer.

"You have to wear it," she insisted.

After a while, I agreed to her and wore the dress. I sat in front of my large mirror in my dressing room, and Alicia applied light makeup to my face.

"I think my lip is too red," I complained.

She eyed me and continued with styling my hair.

"You're good to go," she told me.

I smiled.

I stood up from the chair and stared at my reflection on the large standing mirror. I looked extraordinarily beautiful.

I wore black shoes and grabbed my gold purse.

"You're good to go," she told me. "And you look splendid. "

I smiled.
