CHAPTER NINETY EIGHT

ALEXANDER

My car pulled up in front of a bungalow in a remote part of the city. My driver stepped out of the car to open the door for me and Clinton to walk out of the car.

Clinton and I walked ahead while my driver stayed back. He rested against the car while watching us while we went ahead.

Clinton and I had been doing underground research about the families for a while, and we finally decided to pay them a visit today. We were at the house of the man who had died.

His wife and daughter were the ones who lived in the house. I stood in front of the house and rang the doorbell, then I stayed back and waited for a reply from inside.

After a while, the door opened, and a woman stuck her head out of the door. It seemed like they had been living in fear ever since the accident.

"Go," she shouted at us as she waved her hands at us.

"We just want to talk to you," I told the woman in a pleading manner.

She didn't even ask our names or what we wanted. She just ask
