CHAPTER NINETY NINE

SALLY

I had just returned from the meeting with the investors outside the company. I was still fuming after bumping into Alex's father. I was angry about the proud look on his face when I saw him.

He even gave me a daring smirk. I shook my head and tried to focus on my work, but since I couldn't focus, I decided to close for the day.

I was still packing up my things when I heard a soft knock on my door. The door opened afterwards, and immediately when I turned around, my eyes met Alex's eyes.

I sighed deeply, I didn't know why I was excited to see Alex.

"Alex," I called, as I walked up to him and hugged him tightly.

He hugged me back, and I stayed in his arms, trying to get over my tough day. He wrapped me securely, and I enjoyed the comfort of his embrace.

He finally pulled me away gently and stared into my eyes.

"Sally," he called in a calm tone.

"Alex," I responded and smiled.

"Will you like to eat out with me?" He asked.
