CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THREE

ALEXANDER

I walked into the police station prior to the call from the officers. The police officer handling my case was there to receive me. There were two other officers in the room as we settled.

"We found something interesting about the accident that we think you would like to see. It would also help."

"Tell me about it," I requested.

They played a video on their system for me to see. A middle-aged man was seen returning a truck to a shop where trucks were hired.

It wasn't a large shop. A small shop where about two other small vehicles are parked.

"Who is the owner of this shop?" I asked them.

"He's a middle-class man. He feeds his family through driving trucks and vehicles. I feel like he hires them sometimes, too, just to get extra money."

I sighed deeply and sat up.

"The truck driver hired this truck on that same day of the accident, " the officer told me.

"So, what do you think?" I asked him.

"He was paid to kill Sally, and you saved her in
