Amelia stepped out of Andrew's VIP ward, feeling overwhelmed and confused. She tried to understand what had happened and why he had chosen her as his wife.
As she was pacing, lost in thought, Alexander's brother rushed towards her.
"Amelia, you need to snap out of it," he said firmly. "Alexander has left you in charge of his businesses, and if you don't take charge, everything will fall apart."
"I... I don't know if I can do this," she said, her voice shaking.
"You must rise to the challenge to save and protect everything he has built," Alexander replied.
She took a deep breath, "okay," she said resolutely. What do I need to do first?"
Alexander's brother smiled and patted her on the shoulder as they returned to her husband's VIP ward.
She walked into the room, feeling a sense of unease wash over her. She then approached the bed and saw some stack of paper and a pen her husband's lawyer had arranged on the bedside table.
"Here, Mrs. Reynolds, just sign where I've marked," Finn instructed, pointing to a line at the bottom of the page.
She took the pen, her hand shaking slightly as she signed.
"For the time being, no one must know that Andrew has a possibility of waking up from his coma," Alexander said as he turned to Amelia, his expression serious. "So we need to keep this between us for now."
Amelia nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.
"I must leave Mrs Reynolds, but I'll be in touch." Finn said. "Here's my card; call me if you need anything." He handed her his business card as he left with Alexander."
Alexander and Finn exited the room as she gazed at her unconscious husband, her mind racing with questions.
"Why did you marry me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Who wants to kill you?"
Just as she finished speaking, the door to the hospital room creaked open, and Henry stepped inside.
Amelia eyed Henry suspiciously as he entered Andrew's hospital room.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, turning to face him, her voice stern and accusatory.
Henry didn't flinch; he met Amelia's gaze with his own steady look. "Are you forgetting I'm his cousin?" He questioned.
"I'm his cousin," he replied calmly. "I have every right to be here."
"You did this!" She blurted out as she accused him of trying to kill Andrew.
"What are you saying?" He questioned her with shock on his face.
Amelia stepped forward, her eyes blazing with anger. "I don't believe you," she spat. "I think you had something to do with this. I think you wanted to kill him!"
Henry shook his head, his expression one of disbelief. "When did you start having an interest in Andrew?" he asked. "I had nothing to do with this."
Amelia wasn't convinced. "I don't believe you," she said firmly. "His death would benefit you. All you care about is getting your hands on his properties."
Henry stepped closer, his voice low and intense. "That's not true," he said. "I had no reason to harm him. I swear it."
"I still don't believe you," Amelia blurted, looking Henry straight in the eyes.
Henry sighed, his expression serious. "Andrew is on so many people's death lists," he said. "But I promise you, I never wanted him dead. Yes, I wanted his properties, but I would never go so far as to harm him."
Henry stepped closer, his voice taking on a hard edge. "Now, answer my question. When did you start showing interest in Andrew? I thought you didn't want to marry him. Why are you so concerned about him now?"
Amelia was taken aback by Henry's sudden intensity. She took a step back, her mind racing as she tried to come up with a response.
"I-I don't know," she stammered. "Didn't you want me to marry him after all?" She questioned Henry.
Henry stepped closer to Amelia and said, "I still love you. I never stopped. I want you back, Amelia. Please."
As he leaned in to kiss her, she pushed him away, her eyes flashing with anger. "Is that all you can think of right now?" she spat out. "Your cousin is lying here unconscious, and all you can think about is trying to kiss me?"
He stepped back and said, "Don't tell me you love him." He questioned Amelia.
"You think you can just come in here and make a move on me while Andrew is lying here? Have some respect, Henry."
She turned on her heel and stormed out of the room, leaving him stunned and heartbroken. He knew he had made a colossal mistake by abandoning her at the train station the night they were to elope, and now he was not sure if he would ever be able to win Amelia back.
She couldn't believe the turn of events in her life. Tears welled up in her eyes as she remembered how Henry had abandoned her at the train station to marry his cousin, and now he wanted her back.
How Andrew, whom she barely knew, was lying unconscious in a coma, and she was suddenly in charge of his multi-million dollar businesses, and the pressure was suffocating.
As she left the hospital and stepped into the bright sun, she was bombarded by flashes from the cameras of journalists and reporters waiting outside.
She raised her hand to shield her face from the barrage of questions thrown at her.
"Mrs. Reynolds!"
"Is Andrew Reynolds dead?"
"Who wants to kill him?"
"What will happen to his empire?"
"How do you feel being married to a billionaire and going through this in under 48 hours?"
The questions were relentless, and Amelia felt overwhelmed as she tried to make her way through the crowd, covering her face from the cameras.
Suddenly, a sleek black sports car pulled up beside her. The door opened, and a man in a suit leaned out.
"Get in quickly," the man said in a firm yet gentle tone.
Amelia looked up in surprise and asked, "Who are you?" Amelia thought.
Who would have thought being married to Andrew Reynolds for just 48 would lead to so many puzzles?
Amelia stood there, tears of joy streaming down her face, listening to Andrew's words of love and reminiscences of their past. Andrew said, "the first time I asked you to be my wife, it was arranged, you never wanted to. You agreed because you had no choice. I only granted you the divorce because I wanted to start afresh with you."She couldn't help but laugh at his playful remark about the first proposal. "Or you had no choice either," she jokingly replied, sharing a lighthearted moment with him. With a smile, Andrew continued, expressing his true feelings, "Now I'm asking you again, out of your will. Amelia Tate, can you do me the honors of becoming my wife?" Overwhelmed with happiness, Amelia screamed, "Yes, yes, yes!!!" The excitement spread through everyone present as they joined in the joyous moment. In a rush of emotions, Amelia ran to hug Andrew, and amidst the laughter, Perry playfully yelled, "Collect the ring first!" The laughter continued as Andrew gently slipped the
With a heart full of happiness and anticipation, Andrew walked down the stairs of his home, feeling a world of difference from the past few months. Everything was now beautiful and filled with joy and love. Today was a special day as he was going to pick up Amelia from the hospital after her remarkable recovery from the coma.Tony approached him to inform him that the car was ready. He said, "The car is ready, boss."But Andrew declined, wanting to savor every moment of the day. "Nah... I'll drive myself," he replied with a smile.Tony said, "are you sure boss?""Nah… I'm fine, hand me the keys." Andrew said as he stretched his hands towards Tony to collect his keys.Tony walked towards him and handed him the keys to the Rolls Royce Phantom, and Andrew hopped in, ready to go pick up his beloved Amelia. The drive to the hospital was filled with excitement and eagerness. Andrew couldn't wait to see Amelia's reaction to the grand surprise he had prepared for her at home. As he arrived
The doctor stammered, realizing the gravity of his poorly phrased suggestion. "No... no, that's not what I meant," he attempted to clarify.Andrew stepped closer to the doctor, his eyes piercing through him. "Are you going to tell me how to spend my money?" he demanded. The doctor quickly backtracked, "No sir, it was just a suggestion from a professional."But Andrew was not swayed. He fiercely responded, "Keep your profession to yourself! We're not taking her off any life support! We're not depriving her of her rights to fight! Understood?"The doctor nodded, humbled by Andrew's words, "Yes, sir."Andrew left his office and slammed the door behind him.Leaving the doctor's office, Andrew returned to Amelia's room, his emotions still raw. Mrs. Tate noticed his changed mood and approached him, concerned. "How is Amelia? What did the doctor say?"Andrew took a deep breath, trying to compose himself. "It's nothing serious," he reassured Mrs. Tate, not wanting to worry her further. But M
Andrew carefully came down the stairs, holding Violet in his arms. His daughter had grown bigger, and she now had curly brown hair, which bounced with each moment, a beautiful resemblance to her mother, Amelia. Nanny Grace approached them, holding Violet's little bag and other items Amelia used to cherish."Thanks, Nana," Andrew said with genuine gratitude. "What about Amelia's hairbrush and perfumes?"Nanny Grace smiled warmly. "I've packed them inside, just as you requested.""Thanks," Andrew replied, relieved that everything was in order. He made his way towards the front door, Violet snuggled safely in his arms. But before he could reach the car, Nanny Grace's voice called him back."Uhm... Andrew," she hesitated, concern etched on her face.Andrew turned back to face her, his eyes filled with curiosity. "What is it, Nana?"Nanny Grace took a deep breath, her voice gentle but filled with worry. "Any news on Alexander?"Andrew's expression tightened, a mix of frustration and pain
Nanny Grace's sobs echoed through the air as she cradled Violet in her trembling arms. Tears streamed down her face, and her voice cracked with anguish as she cried out."Alexander, noooo!" Her legs gave way beneath her, and she collapsed to the ground, clutching Violet tightly. One of the cops quickly shouted, "Call in the divers!" The police were already taking action to search for Alexander's body in the water below the bridge.Andrew rushed to Nanny Grace and Violet, his own heart torn apart by the events unfolding before him. He knelt down beside them and wrapped his arms around them both.Nanny Grace, her voice choked with grief, managed to speak through her tears, "Wh...what of Amelia? What happened? Where is she? How did it happen?" Her voice trembled with a desperate hope for answers.Andrew's heart felt as though it had been torn into a million pieces. He struggled to find the words, his voice barely above a whisper. "I...I really don't know. Stone called, and..." Just as
Nanny Grace pleaded with him, her heart breaking at the sight of a man she had once loved like a son, now consumed by rage and despair. "No, no, no, don't harm the innocent baby, Alexander. She has nothing to do with this. Just turn yourself in."Alexander, struggling with his emotions, replied bitterly, "Then what do I get in return? Spend the rest of my life in jail? It's better we all die here!!"Nanny Grace's eyes filled with tears as she realized the extent of Alexander's desperation. She knew she had to reach him, to show him that there was another way out of this dark path he had chosen."Then you'll have to kill me first, Alexander, because I'm getting the baby out of the car," Nanny Grace declared resolutely. She was willing to put her life on the line to protect Violet.Alexander's hands trembled as he held the gun. He couldn't bear the thought of hurting Nanny Grace, no matter how deep his pain ran.Nanny Grace slowly approached him, step by step, keeping her gaze locked
