Chapter 82

Rory rolled her eyes as soon as she heard a rattling at the doorknob. It only meant one thing. Someone is trying to unlock the door of the room where she is held captive. She glanced at the small window that barely fit her head. The sun was shining so bright outside. The rattling of the doorknob and the sound of keys as well as the full-on brightness that can be seen through the small window on the wall only meant one thing.

It's lunchtime and whoever it is that is trying to open the door is here to deliver her food placed on a plastic tray.

Her eyes waited for a familiar but to her disappointment. Only Kairos's right-hand man showed up. It wasn't a tray of food that he had in his hand but a newspaper and that made her eyebrows shoot up.

Their stomach growled because she didn't even taste the food that was served to her right now as a form of protest. Rory had made up her mind that she would eat her meal today, but much to her horror, there was none.
