Win or defeat?

As Leon entered his office, he spotted a figure resting in his chair. He hated sharing his things but not with her. She greeted him with a yawn, “Hi, brother.”

“Charlotte?” he exclaimed.

She flashed him a lazy smile.

“When did you get back from Paris?” he asked.

“Just now,” she replied, stretching her arms above her head.

“You didn’t go to see Mom and Dad?” he questioned.

“Oh, no,” she said, yawning again. “I want to see but they can be overwhelming at times. My mothers will gang up on me and I can’t bear it when I am exhausted and sleep deprives.” she added, “Just give me the key to your apartment. I need a good sleep. I am so tired I might just crash in your loft here.”
