Chapter 58

“Oh, god! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!” I whispered loudly and then I slowly got out of bed so as not to wake the sleeping Jaxson.

I immediately ran to the comfort room to check my appearance in the mirror, and I was not mistaken. I look like a mess!

I even smelled my mouth that smelled of bad saliva, I winced at the smell of my morning breath.

"It's a good thing that I woke up earlier than Jaxson. Oh gosh! He can't see me looking like this-"

"See you looking like what?"

“AAAAAH!” I screeched loudly in my shrill voice as my hands flew to my face to cover it. "Get out of the room first!"

"What's wrong? What is going on with you now?” I heard him ask with a hint of surprise.

I just shook my head while still not removing the cover from my face.

It's impossible for him to see me as I look now. Even if I wanted to fix my hair I couldn't because I couldn't let go of my face. Even though I don't have lipstick, I didn't erase my make up last night because I am afraid that Jaxson will see my bare face, but it was still erased as we were sleeping. I feel really ugly right now in front of him and it's like I just want to be swallowed by the ground.

"Come on, what's wrong with you again? Are you in any pain? Would you like me to call an ambulance for you?”

When I heard the sound of his footsteps, I quickly made a retreat to distance myself from him. When I felt the edge of the sink behind me, I lost hope of going any further, so I pressed harder on covering my face.

"Please, don't come any closer!" I beg him. I am afraid that Jaxson will see me ugly and regret marrying me.

I heard his soft laugh. "Why?"

"Please, Jackson. Just listen to me and get out the door. I have no make up right now and believe me, my face is a mess and I don't want you to see me looking like this!” I whined as I slightly thumped my feet.

But no matter what I begged to do, Jaxson's brain must have been really naughty because he didn't listen to what I said when I heard his steps again.

I felt his hand on my arm followed by his gentle pull on it to remove the covering from my face.

When he completely removed my cover, I was left with a bare face, which is why I nod my head on purpose.

“Oh, please. That's what you're hiding?"

Because of my bowed head and my eyes staring at the floor, I saw Jaxson's hand go to my waist and then tie it.

I flinched when I felt my feet slowly lifting from the ground when Jaxson lifted my body and placed me on the edge of the sink.

I didn't do anything before our eyes met. I was about to jump down to run away but Jaxson put his arms on either side of me, locking my body on his arms.

I averted my gaze when I felt Jaxson examining my face.

"I'm quite disappointed. I expected more hideous things that I can laugh at but why am I seeing such beauty?”

"You know you don't mean that." I answered quickly. "Don't say nice things that you don't really mean just to make me feel better."

"Good morning."

I was surprised by how he diverted the conversation so I turned to him. Which I immediately regretted when Jaxson met me with a quick kiss on my lips.

I blink thrice to try to comprehend what he just did when I felt his hand at the back of my ears and owned my lips again, kissing me passionately as if this is a normal thing for us now without knowing that it still gives me butterflies every time .

I was left staring at his bottom lip after he let go of me, while our foreheads were still touching and leaning on each other.

"I love you..." Jaxson whispered and I felt his breath going directly into my mouth.

"I- I said... don't say words that you don't really mean."

"Do you think I will kiss you even if I know you haven't brushed your teeth yet if I don't really love you?"

My hands quickly went to my mouth to cover it with wide eyes.

Jaxson moved back with a grin on his lips. "You really thought you woke up earlier than me, huh?"

“Wheert?” I said as I am still clutching my mouth.

Jaxson just laughed at me as he held the door. "The room is all yours now, my lady." He uttered, leaving me flabbergasted.

Because of the crazy thing that Jaxson did to me earlier, my chest did not stop pounding while in the car back to the hotel.

My gaze turned back to the front we were passing and a glance at Jaxson.

"D-Do you really mean what you said to me earlier?" I'm asking again because I've been worried about whether what happened was real or just a hallucination.

When Jaxson moved forward and was about to bring his lips to mine, I quickly flinched and covered my mouth.

"Do you believe me?" Jaxson asked me to draw my eyes again.

“I-I guess? It's just that, I feel like it's too impo- I BELIEVE YOU!” I exclaimed and was once again surprised that he was about to kiss me.

Jaxson let out a feeble cackle.
