Chapter 24. Temptation of a Cake

"Lynda's homemade cake is absolutely delicious, you'll regret not trying it when the girl offers it to you," Hans teased, glancing at Nelvan, eager to see Nelvan's response to his previous statement.

"It's Sunday, why did you come to see me?" replied Nelvan.

Hans smiled and sat on the sofa, "Because it's Sunday, which means it's my day off, so I don't have to call you 'young master' anymore, right? It's really annoying to address you like that every day." Hans scoffed, leaning his shoulders against the sofa.

Nelvan glanced at Hans. Despite Hans often annoying him, Nelvan couldn't bring himself to fire Hans from the assistant position he had given him years ago. Hans possessed skills that Nelvan valued in his work, and if he were to dismiss Hans, Nelvan would have difficulty finding someone of Hans' caliber.

Nelvan sighed. It wasn't because of Hans acting like a friend, but because of Hans mentioning how delicious Lynda's homemade cake was. Unfortunately, Nelvan's mouth now craved what
