I have no words to describe the feeling I have. I'm so thrilled that I feel like a child playing as I walk through the wealthy subdivision where Boss Convocar resides. I find it strange. A few hours ago, the sun was really hot and strong, but right now it feels very at peace. It is obvious that Ms. Anj experienced some punishment for her actions earlier. I took some deep breaths as I was enjoying the cooling breeze that seemed to dance the trees and flowers that were on the sidewalk. My hair was blowing by the wind, so I reached for my claw clip to tie it.
As I started out with my new job, things did not go well. I was prepared to earn the trust of the child that I was going to be assigned to take care of. Oh, what a waste! It seems as though fate is playing something with me today. The fact that many things unfolded before even half of my shift is mind-blowing. First, I met a coworker who was even more bossy than my own supervisor. Second, I encountered another coworker who stole all the tasks I had done. Apparently these two coworkers are actually the exact same person. Third, I didn't expect to run into the guy who grabbed me at the club, and we ended up having a one-night stand. Making things worse, I found out that he is my boss! Last but not least, I discovered that the person who chose me to be her nanny is the daughter of my boss. On the bright side, I do believe God showed me mercy. He took care of it so that I would feel better. I can say that the roller coaster ride I went on today was indeed a blessing in disguise!
It is true what people say. Those who suffer from injustice are always showered with lots of blessings.
"So, how's it going?" On the other line, Shamcey asked me. "What gave you the green light to clock out so early?" I sent her a message just before I stepped out of the gate earlier. Even though she wasn't asking for it, I sent my cousin with an update. Is there anyone else who needs an update? First of all, I do not have a boyfriend.
I came to a stop and adjusted the sling bag that was carrying my bag on my shoulder. "Uh, yes, Boss Convocar dismissed me early," I responded to her.
"Huh? Boss Convocar? I thought he was on a business trip?"
"That's what I thought too," I said, switching my phone to the other ear and continuing to walk. I close my eyes in shame as I bring up how Boss Convocar and I met at his residence. " Please don't tell me that you got fired. I've heard that Convocar Corporation's CEO is really strict."
"No, why would he fire me?" "I'm not the type of employee who works just for money," I insisted. "Anyway, so many things happened today."
"You got dismissed early, and so many things happened?" Her question was completely strange to me. It seems that she did not believe what I said. Well, who would have thought that? She toned down her voice. Surely, she called me again when she was working. "You know, I'm getting more and more interested in it. "How about it was your turn to come and pick me up from the office?"
The words that I heard caused me to crease my brow. "Are you serious?" I looked at my wristwatch despite the fact that I was aware that it was far too early for my very great cousin to pack up work. "Just so you know, it's only one o'clock in the afternoon," I informed her in a sarcastic way.
I could hear her heaving a deep sigh. She seemed to be considering for a brief moment as she remained silent on the other line of the call. "Uh! " Would you mind bringing me some food? Oh great, I haven't had a break yet. How perfect it is!
"You haven't had lunch yet?" It was my question.
"Not yet." Her words were expressed with a sad tone in her voice. "Our manager has assigned us plenty of tasks. "And please," she begged. "I really want to hear your gossip." It was as if Shamcey was using baby speak when she spoke to me on the other line of the call. She always does this everytime she wants me to do something and I am hesitating to give into what she wants. In order to convince me to agree with her, she acts cute.
I took a sigh. On the other hand, I didn't really do much today. I didn't even break a sweat at my job earlier. "Alright, whatever. Tell me, what would you want to eat for lunch?"
A hushed scream can be heard coming from the other line of the phone. "I would like to have tuna sushi and jajangmyeon, please," she asked with a cheerful voice.
I said, "Okay, I'm on my way," despite the fact that I was hesitant to do so.
I have just made my way to Convocar Corporation by taking a bus. However, in order to reach the building itself, I had to walk through the park and some other big buildings first. "Who is customer number zero two four? Your food order is ready!" declared the staff at the Korean restaurant where I had ordered Shamcey's food. I went up to them and presented them with my customer number card. As soon as I passed it over to the crew, they immediately handed me the food that I had ordered. "Enjoy your food, Ma'am!"
"Thank you."
While I was strolling through the park, I came across a little girl who was being taken by a boy with her most beloved plush cat toy. It seemed as though the girl was crying out to someone when they were tugging the toy. If you look in the direction in which the girl was looking, you will notice that she was glancing at a bench that was not too far away from her. There was a woman sitting there who had been busy with her phone. Her hair was long, and she was dressed elegantly. It's possible that she was the child's mother. However, when she was in the park, how could she not be keeping an eye on her little one? In a place like this, how could she pay attention on her phone instead of spending time with her kid?
I turned my attention back to the young girl who was still fighting with the kid over her stuffed animal. Despite the fact that she was having a struggle, she continued to resist letting go. "It's my khleo!" I overheard the young girl exclaim.
I found myself hesitating whether to help the girl or just leave her alone. It was my guilt that haunted me. For some reason, it seems like that young girl is keeping me from leaving, as if there is some kind of weird string that ties us together. As if she were not an ordinary child in my eyes. I don't understand why I feel this way about the girl.
After quite a bit of time spent arguing with myself, I was finally able to make a decision. At that moment, I was ready to go to the child. When I was ready to make a step forward, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"Heidi?"
I turned my attention to someone who had grabbed my arm. My eyes widened when I realized who it was.
"I'm right." He said in amazement, "It's really you."
"Frank?" I screamed out his name in disbelief. It turned out to be Shamcey's boyfriend. "What brings you to this place? I asked, confused.
"I used up all of the gas on my motorcycle. I was going to go to Shamcey to try to borrow some money so that I could get gas. Since I've already met you here, I think I'll borrow from you," he stated.
While I was paying attention to what he was saying, I frowned my brows. Is he going to borrow money from my cousin in order for him to pay for gas? Isn't he aware that his girlfriend has not yet had lunch? I was ready to speak when my attention suddenly turned to the girl who had just dropped her fluffy toy. She chased after the kid who had grabbed her toy. My eyes widened when she crossed the road and was hit by a motorcycle, who seemed to be having trouble stopping his motorcycle. For the reason the road was downward, the girl had been thrown violently when the motorcycle hit her.
I screamed as soon as I saw it with my very own eyes. Sadly, I was too far away to reach the kid even though I desperately wanted to save her.
I quickly grabbed the paper bag that I was holding and handed it over to Frank. "Give this to Shamcey," I said, and then I left him quickly to where he was standing.
Immediately, I ran to the exact spot where the little girl was lying, and in just a matter of moments, she was now surrounded by people. After seeing that those people were only snapping pictures of the child, I couldn't help but feel angry. I had to forcefully push aside those who were standing in my way so I could get to the child. Someone complained about what I did. "A child has just been caught up in an accident, and you guys are still being nosy and taking pictures of the child. Why don't you call yourself an ambulance and do something useful?!" I shouted. After I said it, there were many people who left right away as if they had not heard anything. Somebody did what I said right away.
The moment that I saw the girl's situation, I got overwhelmed in panic. Her head was covered in blood, and she had a lot of scratches all over her body. I went over to comfort the girl as I saw her gasp and struggle in pain.
I don't know why, but just seeing her condition made my heart feel like it was going to shatter. I wanted to help her so badly. If I were only able to carry her to take her to the hospital, I would have done it quite a while earlier. But I am not allowed to touch her. With tears in my eyes, I shifted my attention to the others in the surroundings. "Call an ambulance!" I exclaimed.
My attention was diverted when I felt someone holding my hand. It turned out to be the young girl. It seemed as though the child was trying to get herself to speak through the pain that she was experiencing as she was speaking those things to me. "P-Please don't... leave... m-me," she murmured.
I didn’t realize that tears were already flowing from my eyes. I moved closer to her and took up her hand, which was holding on my arm, carefully. I took her hand in mine and squeezed it gently. "Don't worry, I won't leave you," I said to her, my voice shaking a little as I talked to her. "Just stay there, okay?"
Slowly, she gave a nod.
I took a look around. However, she was no longer there. So, where is she?
After a few minutes had passed, the ambulance finally arrived. The nurse informed me that the child had an injury in some parts of her body, so I was glad that I did not move the child from her spot where she had been thrown down the road. The nurses additionally asked me to accompany them to help the child. I did not hesitate to join them because I promised the child that I would not leave her. Later, when her parents come, I will go home.
When we arrived at the hospital, the nurses rushed the child to the emergency department as soon as possible. Due to the fact that the kid lost consciousness while we were still in the ambulance, I found myself very worried about the child's condition. I was restless and kept walking back and forth in the hallway while holding the plush toy which the boy had given me earlier who seemed to be very traumatized by the situation that had done. The doctors and nurses were busy assessing the child while I was in the facility.
I tightened my grip on the stuffed toy I was holding when I heard the doctor declare that the child needed to be transferred to the operating room. As quickly as they could, they pushed the child's bed. I went after them without thinking.
I felt like a mother, anxiously waiting for someone to come out from the operating room door. I badly wanted to know how the child was doing.
I tightened again my hold on the stuffed toy I was holding when I felt something. My eyebrows creased as I looked for the thing that I had touched and noticed something of hardness to it. Where I was, I found a tiny zipper. My curiosity led me to open it, as I did, I discovered a small pocket hidden within it with a small card. My eyes widened in surprise when I saw what was written on that piece of paper as I looked at it.
The contact information of the child's parents!
I quickly took my phone out of my sling bag and immediately dialed in the phone number on the card. I called the number. I couldn't help but pat my feet on the floor in nervousness of someone picking up my call. But I failed. I picked up the phone and dialed that number for the second time. However, just like the first time, no one responded to my call. What kind of parents are they? Did they not realize that their little one was no longer by their side? What they did to the child was quite a different kind of negligence!
I began typing right away. ‘I just wanted to let you know that your daughter is currently here at the St. Jude Research Hospital. Your daughter is waiting for you.’ I wrote a message. I immediately sent it out. After waiting for a few minutes, I finally got a response.
‘What's happened to my daughter?’
‘She was hit by a motorcycle and now she's in the operating room. I hope you'll come to the hospital right immediately,’ I replied.
After more than thirty minutes had gone, a man and a woman appeared at the door of the operating room, both of them gasping for air. Something about the woman drew my attention. She seems familiar. I waited for her to turn around so that I could get a good look at her face. But as soon as I saw her clothes, I knew without any hesitation that she was the mother of the girl who had been sitting on the bench earlier.
I got up and went over and spoke to her. "Ms," I called her.
She shifted her gaze to me. That was the moment when I confirmed that it was her.
"Her! It's exactly her!" As she pointed furiously in my direction, the man who was with her turned his gaze on me.
"Wait a minute, Heidi? What are you doing here?"
When I noticed the man who was now with the woman pointing at me, I furrowed my brows in confusion. It was him, Sir Yzack, who did the interview with me. I couldn't even respond to his question. Because, like his reaction, I was surprised.
"Do you know that girl?! Gosh, she's the one who takes Sabrina!" the woman said, causing me to arch my eyebrows in disbelief.
She's responsible for what happened. But why is she passing the responsibility to me, which should be hers?
"Me?" I pointed my finger at myself. I just shook my head at what she said while giving her a bitter smile. "Oh, God, are you being for real? Where do you get the idea that I kidnapped the child? As far as I know, I am the only person who took a moment to accompany the child to the hospital when it should have been you. This is because of the fact that you are the only person I am aware of who was with the child in the park and who disappeared without any trace. Is that what you're going to do instead of thanking me? What an ungrateful person you are! I responded with amazement. "And weren't you on your phone at that time? That's why you didn't notice another kid grabbing your daughter's toy." I had reached the point when I could no longer hold myself.
She was about to attack me when she stopped. She seems to have seen a ghost, as she is now staring behind me.
"She's not my daughter's mother." There is someone's voice coming from behind me.
"B-Blue..."
My brows frowned in shock. Is what I heard correct? She's referring to Boss Convocar? The fact that Sir Yzack, who is also a friend of my boss, is now here... I slowly turned around to see if what I was thinking was right. However, I was right. We crossed paths again. It was only at that moment that I realized that the woman had been calling the child's name. Finally, everything makes sense to me now. The girl I brought to the hospital earlier is Boss Convocar's daughter, whom I was assigned to care for.
"That is the reason why I do not want to leave my daughter to you," he said in an angry voice. He is now staring straight at her. "You know what?" Just when Boss Convocar was about making the attack, Sir Yzack quietly stepped in. "Why can’t you just f*cking—"
"Do you enjoy fighting and blaming each other?" Instead of praying that everything went successfully throughout the operation with the child? I'm upset right now. Literally. I don't mind if I'm facing my boss.
Now, Boss Convocar is looking me in the eyes. After I stated that, he began to irritably pull his hair and walk back and forth in the hallway. I am not sure what triggered him to get so mad. It's a good thing that they stopped.
I desperately want to come back home. I would like to go home and get some rest. But I have no idea what is stopping me from leaving.
We were waiting for about an hour. We were all worried as we waited for the doctor to come out from the operating room. I have no idea why I am still in this place. Why do I even feel sympathy for the child when I haven't even had a moment to get to know her completely?
"Heidi." Sir Yzack broke into silence by calling me. Boss Convocar and the woman, who I still wondering if she is Nicole, who Boss Convocar called earlier when her mother responded, both turned to face me as he called my name. It was he who approached me. " Why don't you go back to your house and get some rest? "Don't worry, we are here," he said.
"Yeah, right, in the first place it is none of your business," the woman added, looking at me with a disgusted look.
What is wrong with her? She still has the audacity to be upset with me instead of being grateful?
"Nicole," Sir Yzack scolded her. I was right, she is Nicole, who took Boss Convocar’s daughter without permission.
I glanced toward Boss Convocar in a secret way. He was just sitting with his head lowered, holding his temple, and he was right next to the door of the operating room. I completely understand. I understand how he is feeling right now. The fear that he is experiencing with every second that passes as his daughter is in the operating room while she is being operated.
Our attention was diverted by the nurse who was just stepping out from the operation room. It seemed as though the nurse was looking for something as she ran away quickly. Yzack and Boss Convocar exchanged glances.
"What the heck is going on?" While gripping her hands, Nicole was asking as she was having much of anxiousness.
A few minutes later, a doctor came out, which caused everyone to get themselves up and face the doctor. "Who are the parents of the child?" the doctor asked. In a hurry, Boss Convocar approached him and asked for information about it.
I did not move from my seat. It seems that I don't anymore have the right to approach them about this situation. After all, I am not the mother of the child. I am nothing more than the typical nanny.
When the doctor told Boss Convocar about the current condition of his daughter, I heard him letting out a deep breath into his chest. I didn't hear much of what the doctor said because I was so far away from them. But all I knew was that some internal organs and nerves had been suffering injuries.
I gave a sigh. All I could do was feel sorry for Boss Convocar. I have no idea why the mother of the child has not shown up here. And I understand that there is a reason behind everything. I could sense the pressure that Boss Convocar was facing at this very moment. His precious daughter was in the operation room, struggling for her life.
But even though I wanted to be there for him. As I wanted to help him with the weight that he was currently carrying, I am incapable of giving him some comfort. Because that's the end of my line. The only way I can be of use to him is by fulfilling my job responsibilities. I have no idea what will happen to me tomorrow. However, even though the fact that this matter no longer has anything connected to work, I am praying that the child will be okay. She's too young to go through so much pain.
I began to stand up at the time that they were still having a discussion with the doctor. At this point, I guess I should just ask about the child's condition with Ms. Amanda. It was just as I was ready to leave when I overheard them talking to each other.
"Doctor, his blood type is B negative, and he is willing to donate to his daughter," Nicole said, as I overheard her.
"I can't." My whole being collapsed as I heard Boss Convocar’s voice. His voice sounded hopeless. As I turned around, I was struck by the look of sadness that was on his face.
"Why? Your blood type is compatible with your daughter's—"
"Blue just got a tattoo last week, Nicole." Yzack, who was irritated, interrupted her. "So he can't donate." This woman is really insensitive.
"There must be a way, Doc. In that case, what about the blood bank?" It was Yzack.
"The blood bank only has a few products of blood that are incompatible with her because her specific blood type is not uncommon in this part of the country. I apologize," the doctor explained.
"What?" Nicole yelled irritably. "How come there is no blood available at the blood bank? It’s f*cking blood bank?”
The quiet moment that followed lasted for a few moments when Boss Convocar finally spoke. "There is someone I know who is capable of giving blood to my daughter." As he was saying that, he turned his head in my direction. He made his way approaching me. As I looked around in a discreet way, I found that there was no one else around because it was now very late.
I turned my back on him as I frowned with my forehead. With his eyes filled with helplessness, he looks at me as he grabs my hand. My daughter's blood type is compatible with yours, Ms. Sanson. My daughter is in need of your blood to survive. Please help her," he begged.
My eyes widened. How did he know what my blood type was?
It was already 1 AM when Sir Yzack dropped me off. We were in his car, which was parked outside Aunt Rabiya's house. "So you live here," Sir Yzack said, breaking the silence. Did I hear that right? Based on his voice, it seemed like he was hinting at something to me. I looked at him as I her a look of dumbfounded"H-Huh?"I heard him chuckle and shake his head. He paused the music and turned his attention to me. "How are you feeling? Are you sure you didn't feel dizzy after getting your blood collected earlier?" He began to change his topic.I did nothing except observe him as I stared at him. The way he looked at me... it felt like he knew me. "Uh," I said as I touched the spot on my arm where the doctor had taken blood. It did cause some discomfort. I also experienced a feeling of weakness. The fact that I am terrified of injections made my fear even more overwhelming. It was actually this specific reason why I had some worries earlier. "No worries, sir, I'm fine," I replied. "I'll
Jeez! Where the hell is that irresponsible girl? I can't take my eyes off that bitch for a second because I'm sure Aunt Rabiya will catch me in no time—especially if she discovers we're at a club.I am so dead!I am so messed up that I agreed to go having a good time with Shamcey. Because she told me to have fun and forget about my problems for a while. However, this is literally "just a moment." I barely tasted the whiskey for a second, and now I'm here like an idiot, seeking for her. She is gone! This is my first visit to a place like this, and it will undoubtedly be my last. This is the worst night I've ever had!I began to hurriedly roam around the club. I take a close look at every girl I pass by. Some people may find my actions strange at times. Well, it's kind of embarrassing. But it's far better than getting killed by Aunt Rabiya. She always trusted Shamcey if she’s with me wherever we went.Right now, the surroundings were dark, with only chaotic disco lights serving as the
I woke as I kept my eyes closed while holding my head. I feel like this pain is about to split my brain in two. What the hell??! Is this because of the whiskey I drank last night? If I had known this would be the consequence, I probably would not have chosen to accompany my sucky cousin. But speaking of the devil…"Shamcey," I called out. However, I failed to receive any response. I smirked as I remembered what she had done last night. She might be hiding right now, terrified of being scolded by me.I lied as I massaged my senses, saying, "I won't scold you anymore if you give me a pain reliever.""My head hurts!" I complained, still shutting my eyes.A few seconds passed by, yet Shamcey was still not showing herself. This is always a scenario when she has done anything wrong to me. She will do anything I want, so I can forgive her as I won't speak to her mother, my aunt Rabiya, about her foolishness from last night. As soon as I opened my eyes, the entire room was still quiet. But as
"Are you sure the address you're talking about is correct, Shamcey?" I asked my cousin while we were walking here inside an exclusive village. My jaw almost fell as we passed by the huge and elegant residences. Only the wealthiest individuals and artists can afford to live in a place like this. We're currently looking for a house that I'll apply for, and if I pass the job interview, this will be my workplace. She let out a sigh of annoyance. "Just so you know, you've asked me several times. You see, we've already asked the security guard. This is the exact spot he instructed," she explained to me, irritated. I didn't even try to speak anymore.I've actually asked if the address we're heading to is correct numerous times than I can remember. I am thinking too much that we might have ended up in the wrong residence or maybe I'm nervous as hell? Jeez. Never mind."Hey, Heidi? Let's throw a celebration at the club when you get hired, huh?" she reminded me. “Don't forget to pay for my dri

I was taken by surprise when I saw the price list of all the foods that were available on their menu. It is pretty pricey! It seemed as if I had something to pay for. As a result, I just let my cousin decide what we can eat for lunch."That's nothing, and I got so hungry looking for Boss Convocar's house. In fairness, their house is so spacious that it could comfortably fit ten families because of its hugeness," she said. After what seemed like an eternity, the waiter had finally placed Shamcey's order for us. While the waiter was placing all of the meals that my cousin ordered on our table, I was helpless to figure out each of the foods that was being served. Probably this may be simply because o
First day of Work After stepping out of the car, I calmly stood in front of the mansion while taking a big breath. Quite to the astonishment of Aunt Rabiya and Shamcey, the driver of Boss Convocar came and picked me up directly at our house. Who am I to be picked up, right? I am nothing more than a lowly nanny. In the midst of my preparations for going inside, my attention was drawn to the parking lot where Boss Convocar's vehicles were parked. Now, however, I am struggling to track down the black car that I saw when I came here. A frown formed on my forehead. Is it possible that I was only hallucinating? While the waiter was placing all of the meals that my cousin ordered on our table, I was helpless to figure out each of the foods that was being served. Probably this may be simply because o
But as
