“What do they know?” I snapped at Jerome. He had accompanied me home.

“I don’t know. I didn’t understand him either earlier. I just went there because Gabrielle texted me,” he answered innocently. I was surprised why his brother texted him. “And why did he text you? Was this planned by both of you?” I couldn’t help but think about it, especially knowing Jerome's manipulative tendencies. I know he always wants to be ahead of everyone else.

“No way! I wouldn’t side with my rival!” he defended. I know he hasn’t been on good terms with Gabrielle for a long time, even since they were kids.

“Don’t think like that. You’re too stressed. Gabrielle texted me because he said you can’t see Yumi! He didn’t say why, but I’m sure they know something. That’s why I went immediately because I didn’t want anything to happen to our baby because of her; I might end up killing her,” Jerome added. I was touched by what he said.
