“That's enough, Carina. You can stop doting on me now,” I said to her as she helped me to the sofa in the living room.

It feels weird being here. I have been confined to the hospital for weeks, breathing hospital air.

“You can't tell me not to take care of you,” she said, rolling her eyes.

*You were ready to leave weeks ago,” I said, laughing. I didn't hear her say anything for a while so I looked up.

“How long are you going to keep holding that against me?” She asked, her voice quiet.

“I don't know, Carina,” I said to her, my voice low as well, “I know we are good but I was really disappointed when you said you were leaving,” I said to her.

“I'm not leaving anymore,” she took my hands, “that's just a side of me I try to hide. A jealous and bitchy side. I'm really sorry, Aurora,” she said, fighting back her tears.

“Hey, you don't have to cry,” I said, wiping her cheeks, “it's all good. I promise,” I said to her.

“Are you sure?” She asked, using a weird accent.
