“Let's get her to the bed,” Carina said and Martin hurried to my side.

“Thanks Martin,” I said as he lifted me up, he nodded not saying a word. I could tell he was pissed.

“I placed a call to the Doctor, no answer,” Madeline said as she walked back into my room.

“Did you try his office phone number?” Carina asked her and she nodded.

“Guys, I'm fine,” I said, feeling my legs again, “see look,” I sat on my bed and wiggled my toes.

“I'm guessing it was just stress and all those talks about Jacob,” I told them but they were not buying it.

“I want to believe that but something is telling me not to,” Madeline and I looked at her.

“You are supposed to be on my side, not Carina's,” I said to her.

“You shouldn't put a lot of pressure on yourself, Aurora,” Andre said, walking away, Martin followed closely behind.

“Is everything okay, Martin?” I asked him. He opened his mouth to speak but couldn't find his words.

I stood up gently, my legs touching the floor. I felt okay and a bit strong.
