I opened up my eyes and I could hear the sounds of the machine all around me. I could hear my heart pounding in my ears and I knew that's my anxiety kicking.

“Get me out of here,” I yelled at Jacob, who tried to stop me from removing my IV drip.

I hissed at the pain I felt and glanced at my skin, “blood,” I whispered and my eyes closed.
