“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Carina asked me as we got into the car.

“I can't think of anything else, Carina. This is one shot, one opportunity kind of thing,” I said to her and she sighed.

“A lot of things could go wrong. There is still no news on your sister, Aubrey,” she said and I cast a look at her.

“Martin will find her,” I said. “He has too. Or all of these would have been for nothing.”

The car started driving and I noticed something, “who are you?” I asked the person in the passenger seat. That is usually where Martin sits.

“I'm Clay, ma'am,” he said. “I will be replacing Mr. Martin till we get someone permanent for his position,” he said and I got uncomfortable.

I know I told Martin to look for Aubrey which includes resigning as my head of security but I would have loved to meet this Clay first before now.
