CHAPTER FORTY ONE

MIA'S POV

"STOP RIGHT THERE." The bodyguard said to the servant who immediately put her head down.

"I'm so sorry ma'am! I got carried away. I was just so excited that you are finally home."

"It's fine," Aiden said.

I smiled and thanked them all but my smile wasn't coming from my heart. I have become so weary of every one of them. I don't know who my friend and foe are anymore.

I took in the sight of the house once more before allowing Aiden to lead me inside. Once inside, there was some decorated cardboard with written words of;

Welcome back home ma'am, it is so good to have you back with us.

They were all rejoicing that I was back home and so oblivious of the situation on ground or, they just choose to be blind about it. The only person who seemed a little different from them all was Mr Timothy. I wondered why he was looking so unlike himself.

"Welcome back home ma'am and sir." He slightly bowed in respect.

"Thank you Mr Timothy."
