Chapter 7

last update Last Updated: 2024-12-11 06:53:01

As She was dragged to the truck blindfolded, she knew that any attempt at fighting back would only backfire. And Reena knew her plans had failed, but it could only be because of two things, either Will chickened out of the mission she had sent him on which was highly unlikely, or he was gunned down like a dog on sight, which was frankly more believable.

The previously damp and humid air began to lighten significantly, which told Reena that they were back on the highway, and she could not help but sigh in relief, afterall they were less likely to get rid of her body this way.

The van finally jerked to a stop, and Reena was flung forward on her seat. The past few days without food or water had taken its tolls on her, mentally and physically. She felt weaker than ever, which increased her anxiety.

“What’s going on?” She asked anxiously, the air was still light, meaning they were still above ground, and unless they had changed the location of the Fold, she knew that something was terribly wrong.

“Shut the fuck up bitch!” A raspy voice growled and Reena flinched back, but was yanked back with brute force, causing the injury in her arm to worsen and she bit back cries of pain.

“Look fellas, underneath all that grime she’s actually easy on the eyes!” The same raspy voice hollered merrily as the cloth blinding her sight was yanked away, and she was confronted with seven hefty men that looked like they ate gym equipment for breakfast.

The cloth was then used to wipe the grimes of her face harshly coupled with some liquid substance from their pouch and the grins on their faces widened as more of her features were revealed.

“Well you know what they say…..” A blonde one grinned, blonde and particularly hefty.

“What is it?” They all laughed like what was going on was some kind of sick joke, and it probably was, but at her expense.

“Pretty little girls are only good for one thing.” He ended and his friends roared some more.

“You can’t do this, I am still an Agent!” Reena yelled, her already parched throat bleeding raw.

“Come now sweetheart. You don’t think you are ever going back, do you?” They laughed, a thick meaty fist grabbing her raggedy hair back and using it as a means to drag her across the floor of the armed truck.

“N-no!” Reena wailed, this was too much, she feared that this was something she would not recover from.

“What’s the bitch screaming for?” The man responsible for keeping her flaying feet at bay sneered. “Wait till we give you something real to scream about.”

Before she could react further, two thick jean covered thighs rested on either side of her head. In shock, she looked up to see the leering face of its owner as he gazed at with barely restrained delight.

“I’ll bite it off!” Reena’s voice was a hoarse growl. “I swear I will, try me.” She cried, the tears mixed with dirt flowing into her mouth to form an acrid taste.

The echo of a particularly harsh sound filled the back of the truck and Reena’s head was flung violently to the side, warm liquid filling her mouth as a result of the violent slap she had just received.

“Do that and this truck will be your grave.” He answered with a particularly sadistic laugh, and Reena felt the cold air blow at her chest as someone ripped her top off, and suddenly she felt tired, so terribly tired. She was starving and extremely dehydrated that her eyes struggled to produce tears, and at that moment she gave up and the men could feel it. The moment the fight left her body they hooted and cheered over yet another conquest.

Glancing upwards, she yearned for a glimpse of the clear skies once again, anything to distract her from the horror that was about to take place, and as soon as the thought crossed through her mind, a thick pudgy object pressed at her lips, demanding entrance. She knew what it was, she wished she didn’t but she knew.

Boom!

The entire truck shook with the impact and the pungent man on top of her was flung forwards. Reena groaned, completely thrown off and disoriented. The bang echoed repeatedly in her drowsy brain, and she could slowly feel herself losing her grasp on reality.

Before she completely slipped away, she managed to peer through blurry eyes at the mechanical precision of the hijackers, as she watched them bash the doors open, a godlike figure of a man clad in the darkest hues sauntered in, his garb told tales of his inner demons and he strode forth into the scene like an envoy from the darkest recesses of human nature.

Only one man could carry such darkness within him. At that moment for reasons unbeknownst to her, the fear and tension receded and she stretched forth a trembling hand, asking for salvation.

“Caelan.” She whispered, his name both a prayer and a plea.

~~~
William rushed to an unconscious Reena, immediately shrugging off his shirt to cover her up as he averted his eyes. All around them was chaos, and the smell of burnt flesh and blood permeated the air.
He watched horrified as Caelan merrily bent over the man whose pants were suspiciously around his ankles when they came in, and stabbed him over and over again with a mad frenzy, and each splatter of blood seemed to make his silver eyes glow brighter, but when he reached down with the same blood slicked knife and grabbed the writhing man’s limp dick, William looked away.
The man was mad, William concluded as he snuck away from the chaos with an unconscious Reena in his arms.
The click of a gun stopped him mid stride, and sweat dotted his already clammy forehead.
“Now this wasn’t the plan, was it?”
    Running a gloved hand over the bannister, Reena tried to find comfort and inner peace as she took a deep breath and squinted in the extra dim lighting, in a way the absence of light felt like an extension of the game Reena was sure the billionaire was intent on playing with her. “You can go in.” Her escort informed her in his carefully detached voice and turned around in the next breath, leaving Reena to her fate. Pushing the door open, she lingered by the door, absolutely stunned to silence by the allure of the room within.While the entire room was startling dark from the lack of artificial light within, it was bathed in a rich silvery glow filtering in from the open window, a battle of light and darkness as the pure silver pushed the shadows back to the hedge where they hissed and promised sinful pleasures should they be set free.“You are stalling.” A smooth voice purred next to her ear and Reena flinched, wondering how he managed to sneak up on her like that, whoever he was. She knew that the longer she stayed away after a mission, the more likely it was for her to be in actual danger, and not the fake kind William might have dreamt up in his spare time.Zipping up her combat boots, Reena took the time to study herself. Her black leather jacket with studded details and edgy zippers paired nicely with the dark wash skinny jeans she was wearing, and damn it accentuated those curves nicely, she thought.
