Melting Iceberg

"Oh, since when did it get this dark?" muttered River as he looked away from his computer and realized that the sky from his window had turned dark.

"Then I should work on it more quickly. Daisy must have been waiting for me…"

River stopped muttering and blinked in surprise when he saw Daisy's figure lying on the sofa. He blinked his eyes again, then winced softly when he remembered that Daisy had been waiting for him to finish his work. River regretted being too immersed in his work to forget Daisy's presence at that place.

Having found something more important than his job, River immediately turned off his computer without wasting any more time. He then moved toward Daisy, kneeling with one foot in front of her sleeping lover.

"She must be really bored waiting for me to fall asleep at work like this," thought River, brushing aside the strands of hair that fell on Daisy's face.
