Suddenly Pregnant

"Are you asleep?" River asked as he climbed onto the bed, peeking at Daisy, lying beside him with her back and the blanket covering her whole body to her head.

"Daisy?" River tried to open Daisy's blanket, but the woman held it back. River smiled a little when he realized his beloved woman was sulking.

"It doesn't matter. You must be very tired after a long flight. Have a good sleep and sweet dreams." River spoke softly while stroking Daisy's head before landing a kiss there—on the white blanket that covered Daisy's head.

River fixed his lying position and then covered his body. And he was made to smile again when the pile of blankets next to him moved, followed by a hand hugging his waist.

Daisy may have been sulking at him, but she still misses him. And River, who realized this, let Daisy hug him while hiding under the covers, and he returned Daisy's hug by stroking her tiny back.
