Chapter 309: Awake

“Hendrix?!” She immediately exclaimed.

Her eyes went wide and she almost stood up and run towards his direction, if not for Dinah who was quick enough to put her hands on her shoulders to keep her from moving.

“You’re already awake?” She asked incredulously.

Hendrix stared at her, there's still a lot of tubes attached to him as well as the oxygen that prevented him from speaking. However, He seemed stunned as his eyes were wide, mirroring hers as if he was shocked to see her as well.

“W-when?” she queried.

Her tears welled up, feeling relieved to see him looking at her, wide awake, instead of what she was anticipating to see. She wanted to run and hugged him, but her body went frozen, probably because of utter shock.

“He woke up last night,” Wilma answered.

She started sobbing upon hearing that. She wanted to scream and lash out on the old woman for keeping that information to her but above all, she was so damn ecstatic that she couldn't bring herself to be mad.

“Last night? Wh
