Chapter 317: Overreact

Margaux turned her head towards the bed and saw Hendrix was already awake. Her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at him, thinking why he had already woken up when he had just slept half an hour ago.

“Why are you already awake?” She queried.

Hendrix smiled at her.

The creases on her forehead deepened as she wondered what was missing in him. But then she almost stood up upon realizing that he took off the oxygen mask.

“Why did you take that off? Take it back! You won’t be able to breathe!” She said in hysteria.

Her chest was thumping hard as she panicked seeing him without those oxygen mask. The doctor had warned her not to take that off yet because his breathing was still unstable.

“Relax. I’m okay now,” Hendrix responded and chuckled weakly.

But then, almost instantly he coughed loudly which made her nervous and quickly pressed the emergency button to call the nurses.
