Chapter 250: Attention

Margaux’s brows furrowed upon seeing their everyone seemed busy downstairs. She slowly descended as her head kept back and forth from their servants while their butler was busy ordering them around.

“Is there a party later?” she asked.

Some of the servants who were there quickly greeted her then immediately went back to what they were doing. Meanwhile, the butler walked towards her and smiled politely, “Good morning, Miss Margaux..” he respectfully greeted. “Uh, no, there’s no party, but Madame said there will be an esteemed guest coming for dinner..”

“Esteemed guest?” she frowned. “Who?”

She could not remember when was the first time her mother had invited a very important person to their manor. Since she came back, she had never seen the servants so busy like that and their butler became too keen on details to make sure that every corner of the manor was clean and shining.

The butler quickly lowered his head and apologized. “My apologies, but I know nothing about him..”
