Chapter 253: Issue

Margaux was beyond shocked at the straightforwardness of her father. Although she already knew how blunt her father could be, still, she did not expect him to ask that.

The marriage certificate thing even slipped her mind as she was too preoccupied with Hendrix’s presence in their house.

“Geronimo,” she heard her mother speak.

Her head turned to her direction and she saw her mother giving Hendrix a reassuring smile. Her brows instantly furrowed as she wondered since when the two had gotten close?

“Uncle, he was drunk last night,” Daisy interjected.

Margaux’s lips parted as she looked at her cousin. Her chest felt heavy all of a sudden while her eyes were squinting.

“How did you know that?” she could not help but ask.

She did not like it one bit that Daisy knew that Hendrix was drunk last night, for it only meant that they continued contacting each other. She felt betrayed although her cousin had every right to be friends with him or anyone.
