Chapter 256: Let Go

The silence was killing Hendrix. He buried his face on the crook of her neck and squeezed her body tighter as he took a deep breath.

“Love..” he mumbled.

He felt Margaux flinched but still, she remained silent and unmoving. She was so stiff as if he was hugging a statue, cold and immobile. His heart sank thinking that she was really not interested in whatever he was saying.

Shutting his eyes, he bit the bottom of his lips and nuzzled his nose against the skin off her neck. Her porcelain skin was so soft and smooth. She also smelled so good that it was slowly awakening his desire.

If she stayed unmoving, he would just take advantage of it, he thought.

However, before he could even start his plan, Margaux seemed to hear his mind and quickly removed his hands off her waist. She also stepped away, leaving a huge distance between them as though he had a contagious disease.

“Leave now if you have nothing to say,” she said sternly.
