Chapter 111: False Rumor

Hendrix slumped his body on the cold floor and stared at the ceiling blankly.

He was drained of energy all of a sudden.

Talking face-to-face with the most powerful person in the world was stressful and exhausting. It’s as if he ran a marathon and lost in a bet. But then, he probably felt that because he met not just one but two of the most powerful and influential people in the world in a single day.

Don Geronimo, Margaux’s father who happened to be the King’s biological brother, had talked with him first.

He went to talk about his daughter too but in contrast to the King, the Don was quite indirect about liking him for his daughter.

Letting out a heavy sigh, he shut his eyes and placed his arm on top of his forehead.

He had met a lot of people in the business world, most of them are big shots as well. But none of them were on the same level with the King and the Don. Those two very important figures in England, if not in the world, were the most difficult he had dealt with. Not b
