Chapter 101: Confession

“I love you, Margaux,” Hendrix repeated.

Margaux stared at him with wide eyes. Her mouth agape while her heart was beating abnormally. ‘W-what?’ her brain couldn't function all of a sudden.

He stared back at her, and she suddenly felt intimidated by the intensity of his gaze towards her.

“I just realized it now. I'm sorry for everything, please forgive me..” he said.

She blinked several times as it didn't sink in as well. Her mind was in turmoil, she couldn't think anything at all.

“I love you,” he repeated again.

‘What the heck?! He loves me?!’ her mind screamed. Her chest hammered even more.

Shutting her eyes, she took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, but to no avail. Her effort was futile as her brain kept repeating his words inside her head like a broken vinyl. Indenting in her mind, making her memorize every syllable of how he pronounced those words.

“Margaux, I–”

“Stop,” she quickly cut him off.
