Chapter 107: Purple

“Dad..” Margaux finally answered.

She could hear a loud noise from the background which made the creases on her forehead deepened.

“Why is your phone out of reach?” Don Geronimo queried.

Her eyebrows raised as she didn’t understand it at first. But when she remembered that her phone was with Hendrix, her face darkened and dismissed her father with it right away.

“It’s out of battery,” She just answered.

“Hhm. Your mother got a little worried because she wasn’t able to contact you,” He responded. “What time are you going home?” he suddenly asked.

Tilting her head, she looked at the phone and checked if it was really her father who was calling her. “Did something happen?” she abruptly asked.

She heard her father chuckling, “Everything’s okay here. I just want to ask if you can come home now?”

“Why?”

“Come here quick and you’ll see”

After saying that, Don Geronimo immediately hung up.

Margaux stared at the phone with a deep furrow. ‘Is that really my father?’ she asked in disbelief.
