Chapter 100: listen

“What did you say?” Margaux turned back and scowled at Hendrix.

However, her chest pounded wildly as soon as their eyes met. Hendrix's eyes were the most attractive part of his face the most and his brown orbs were her favorite. The way he gazed at her was too intense but she couldn't seem to look away, although her heart felt like it's going to explode.

“I know you are here for me,” Hendrix responded with a gentle smile and slowly closing the gap between them.

It didn't sink it right away to Margaux, as her mind went blank while her eyes fixated on his handsome face. And just like that morning, the way he looked at her seemed different. She found it very strange. It's as if something had suddenly changed but she couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly.

Hendrix stopped right in front of her. He didn't touch her, and even left a quite huge gap in between them. But subconsciously, she took a step back as her heart couldn't handle being with him too close.
