Chapter 37: Old Friends

Jayden had said many things at dinner yesterday, one of which was asking her to take accountability for her lies that sent him to jail. Mary had also called her a liar when she found out Lydia had been the one whose testimony put Jayden in jail.

The older woman was convinced that her testimony was falsified against Jayden but it wasn't. Lydia testified to what she saw—what she saw when she went with Anthony to the White Estate company building. Jayden believed she lied and had not changed his conviction, and so did Mary; then, perhaps there was more to this than she knew.
