Chapter 12

Max sat in the car after she left. He new he scared her. As soon as he saw the scar on her face he knew why she puts so much gunk on her face. He couldn't really see it but he felt it.

 Today was amazing. Being with her holding her hand. He wanted more but  she wasn't ready he will just keep patient with her till she is. 

Max woke up early the next morning, getting ready for work he debated wether to go passed Jennas apartment or just call her and see if she's ok. In the end he sat down at the kitchen table  and pulled out his phone.  

" Good-morning, how are you today?" he said.  

"Good-morning" she replied. As she was sitting down for  her breakfast, all night she couldn't stop thinking about Max and when she woke up she was dreaming of the kiss they shared and now he's calling her. " I'm fine how are you, are you at work" she replied.  " I'm great, just getting ready for work." There was silence from both ends before he answered "Jenna are you ok, I didn't mean to make you cry. I'm sorry if I hurt you or scared you."  "You didn't I'm just not rea.... " I was about to say when he cut me off. " I couldn't stop thinking about you all night and our amazing day together so how about we go have lunch. I need to see you, and am not taking NO for an answer."

" I can't I have a million things to do today" I said.  

" Fine do them and I'll meet you for lunch if nothing comes up say at one and I'll message you the address" and he hang up. The phone was still to my ear when I got the message.  I wanted to go to see him,  but my brain says no.   

Yesterday was amazing I had never smiled so much never had so much fun.  

The animals made my day looking over at the little toy elephant he bought me. My first ever gift from anyone. 

As I made my way to the cafe. I know people are staring at me every one was in shorts and dresses me I was wearing a red skivvy and blue baggy jeans and my sneakers.  

I got to the cafe before him and got us a table and waited, there's  still ten minutes before one o'clock. At five to one he arrived. I waved at him. He smiled and walked towards me. God he looks amazing the men and women in the cafe turning to look at him. He has an aura around him and he's so dam sexy.

 What the hell am I thinking. My cheeks felt flushed and I'm getting so hot. " Hi " he said before leaning down and kissing me on my lips. It happened so quickly I didn't get a chance to move.  

"Hi" I replied flustered. The waitress bought us two menus and Max ordered us two coffees.  

I was looking at the menu and he was looking at me. I turned more red if that was possible. I lifted the menu up to cover my face, he removed and folded the menu and put it to the side. " I want to see your beautiful face " he said "please don't talk like that people are here and can hear you " said Jenna uncomfortably " to bad you need to get use to it" he replied just as our coffee came.  After giving the waitress our order.

 We spoke about our hobbies I told him I love going to the library and reading.  " that's it " he said yes nodding my head I have no family and no friends. I asked him what his hobbies are?  What he likes doing in his free time?  He loves running and the gym, swims, loves the beach, catching up with family and friends.  Smiling at me as he spoke.  What I would give to be able to have similar hobbies.

 Looking down at my coffee  he lifted up my chin, and said "Jenna I want to know everything about you,  about your life about what happened to you growing up! I want to know why you wear so much dam clothes in fifty degree heat, and all that stuff on your beautiful face. I don't ever want to look at you and see the sadness in your eyes. I want to take it all away and replace it with happiness." 

I was trying to hold my tears.  His words were so beautiful. I wanted all that but I don't think I knew how to. How to love him no one has ever loved me no one has ever said such beautiful romantic words to me.  

His words was interrupted by our lunch arriving and by a couple who arrived at out table.  Max stood up and introduced me started speaking to them. I couldn't hear what they were saying but after a few minutes they smiled at me and said " the invitation is for you as well" I smiled and thanked them and they said their  goodbyes. They had invited us to their daughters twenty first birthday next weekend.  

We finished  lunch and Max paid for our food.  As we left the cafe I looked at him, he winked at me making me flush grabbed my hand and we walked back silently to my apartment. As I turned to say goodbye he grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him, automatically  my hands went to his chest to pull him away but before I could do,  he lowered his head and his lips touched mine in a gentle kiss that rocked me none the less.  I closed my eyes and opened my lips to allow his warm tongue entrance. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me so bad and I kiss him back just as much. I don't have no experience in kissing but I still give what I can.  The loud ringing of the phone in the restaurant tore us apart. I flushed and broke away from him embarrassed. His only words were " I'm picking you up tomorrow at nine we're going shopping for a few dresses" and he left. I kept watching him till I could see no more. The phone still ringing I closed the door and went to answer. Later I would have time to think.
