Chapter Four

Jocelyns POV

I sat on Lorenzo's bed waiting for him to come back. His room had a similar set up to mine except his bed had black sheets. After a couple of minutes Enzo came back with a couple of outfits. "Here you go" He said handing them over. "Thank you. I'll just go change" I said with a smile and walked towards his door. "Uh just use my bathroom. Lie I said we have a lot of unmated wolves walking around" He said pointing to his bathroom. I nodded my head and went to change. I looked at the outfits and picked the one I wanted.

It was still summer time so I figured it would be really hot. I picked the white crop top tank top which stopped halfway down my midsection. It was matched with a pair of red shorts which ended just under my butt. I had a feeling that Elena was shorter than me. I ran my fingers through my wet hair and went back into Lorenzo's room. He had just come out of his closet and he stopped short. His eyes bulged a little when he saw my outfit and then he blushed a little before looking away. "I can it Elena is shorter than me" I said with a chuckle.

"Yeah she uh is" He said trying not to glance my way. "Let's go to your apartment to get your clothes then we can come back for breakfast" He said finally looking at me but keeping his eyes on mine. "Okay" I said with a smile. I yelped a little bit when his eyes glazed over Llveando a Jocelyn a su apartamento por ropa. Vuelvo pronto (Taking Jocelyn to her apartment for clothes. Be back shortly) I heard Lorenzo say in his mind. Vale, hazlo rapido (Okay make it quick) I heard an Antonio's voice say in response.

When his eyes came back to normal I smirked. "Do you always have to let him know where you're going and what you're doing?" I asked. "Wait you heard us?" Lorenzo asked shocked. "Yeah I told you guys last night I can read minds" I said with a shrug. "Holy shit this just got even better" He said with a smile. "Come on we'll discuss everything when we get back" He said. We walked out to his mustang and drove to my apartment where I got a couple duffel bags full of clothes and my toiletries.

Lorenzo and I talked a bit on the trip to and from. He told me about the house we were living in was called the 'Pack House'. He explained that yes indeed he did have to let Antonio know where he was going and what he was doing because that was how their hierarchy worked. "You know you're different than you were in the cell" I told him. "Well yeah now that you're not a prisoner I don't have to be a hard ass" Enzo said with a laugh.

We made it back to the pack house and we dropped off my duffel bags in my room. "Why don't you..." Lorenzo started to say but my stomach let out a loud rumble. "Nevermind then let's go get breakfast" He said with a chuckle. I just smiled and he walked me to the dining room. Antonio, Mateo, and I'm assuming Elena were sitting down at the table with plate full of food. I put a hand on my stomach as I took my seat next to Enzo. "Hi I'm Elena" The woman next to Mateo said. "Nice to finally meet you! I'm Jocelyn" I said introducing myself. "Oh and thank you for the clothes" I said motioning to my outfit. "Oh no problem" She said waving it off.

I filled my plate with some eggs, bacon, and a biscuit. I spread some butter and jam on the biscuit as someone came up and filled up a glass with orange juice. "Oh thank you" I mumbled out with a mouth full of food. They just smiled and walked back into the kitchen. "So I have something to share" Lorenzo said breaking the comfortable silence. "Our mind link earlier Tony, she can hear it" He said pushing a thumb in my direction. Tony looked at me with a blank stare. "Is this true?" He asked. "Yeah" I said. His eyes glazed over and so did Mateo's. Purple chicken I heard Tony's voice say.

"Really you could have tested this with anything else and you chose purple chicken?" I asked him with a dumbfounded look. "Holy shit" Mateo said dropping his fork. "Okay this will work" Tony said. "Once we're done with breakfast everyone in my office" Tony said before going back to eating. We finished eating in silence and I got up from the table. "I'm going to go change then I'll meet you guys" I said. "See you in a bit. Fourth floor, the door all the way at the end of the hall" Lorenzo said. I nodded my head and went to change.

I switched into a pair of black capri pants but kept the white crop tank top. I made my way up the stairs and knocked on the last door. Elena came over and opened the door with a smile. "Come on in" She said moving out of the way. We walked in and she sat on Mateo's lap and nuzzled her nose into his neck. I couldn't help but smile with how happy they looked. "So now that everyone's here" Antonio said. "The alpha convention is in a month. We'll still find a witch" He added. I simply raised an eyebrow, an alpha convention, a witch; what the fuck. It's a big meeting of all the local alpha's in the area. They talk about a bunch of different topics. It's being held at our enemies territory this year Lorenzo thought and I nodded my head. "What do you need a witch for?" I asked out loud. Antonio looked between me and Lorenzo for a moment. "Because you're going to be introduced as Lorenzo's mate" He said. My head snapped to Lorenzo and he was looking me up and down with a smirk.
