Damn, I thought as I recalled that they would be definitely referring to me.

“Car?” Greg asked sharply and the second man answered, “Yes but don't worry, the car, and the driver seemed to be lost. Probably a young man who had wanted to take a long drive had somehow driven through this offbeat road. But, rest assured, we checked and did not see any car around.”

Greg thought about it and scratched his chin for a moment before dismissing the idea of a lurker.

“Probably it was some random travelers”

I let out a breath I did not even realize I was holding and then threw the stone as far as my hand could go.

The stone luckily hit something as the loud clang resounded through the empty windmill, amplifying the voice.

The noise alerted everybody and even Yesmir stopped crying for a second.

“What was that?”

Greg asked sharply and the four men hurried outside to look for the source of the noise. Then I picked another stone and threw it outside the small window.
