Lifting the chain from the ground, I held the two ends of it together and looked at the monster.

“Come at me, you freak”

I spat and we both advanced toward each other.

Grendel cried, “But you had promised me to help him. I helped you save the life of your girl in exchange of freeing master.”

I threw the chain high and it circled around the monster’s head.

Grabbing the end of it, I went back and twisted the chain around his head and shouted, “ I did help him get free. He had stepped out of his room, that meant being free”

Grendel cursed loudly, “you tricked me”

I held on to the chains and pulled at them, choking the monster.

“He stepped inside of his own volition, I tricked nobody”

He began to thrash and throw his body around but I maintained my death grip on him.

His eyes twitched as my legs kicked at them on the back, causing him more pain. He tried to howl but I was choking his windpipe, not letting him even breathe forget screaming in pain.
