Chapter 65 I loved her deeply

Kamara disagreed, shaking her head. She was totally against that choice. "Caiden, you can't make that decision on your own." A line of annoyance appeared on her forehead.

With impatience, he said, "And what other suggestion do you have, Kamara? Taking the boy on our mission is out of the question, and you have no family anywhere to leave him with."

"And do you also think Jessie should look after him? My son won't stay with her," she said, her lips curving into a mocking smirk.

Caiden massaged his temples while he closed his eyes. He was irritated and remarked, "I won't leave him with Jessie, are you okay now? My mother is there, and she will look after him while we're away."

Kamara knew there was no other way out of it. Though she continued to believe it was a bad idea, she reluctantly agreed with Caiden. Kamara felt a big weight in her chest as they made their way back to the apartment. Caiden had to be trusted. She had to put her faith in him to handle what was out of her reach.
