94 Emptiness

There was no kindness in his gaze when Nate looked into them. "You have to be wrong about that fact that I'm the same person as yourself." Nate was simply full of disgust, no kindness left in him. "What's wrong, Bruno? Are you upset with me because Caiden placed me in my rightful place? You ought to be beneath my feet." Nate grabbed Bruno's collar and shoved him hard against the wall. Bruno, though, had no fear.

Nate sneered, "I don't have time for your conspiracy theories, Deputy. Do as you please. I have a task to complete."

Bruno had to move aside as a result of Nate's hard push, and he gave him one last glance.

Nate said, "You'll have to come back another time," as he started back down the steps. "There is no presence of Alpha Caiden here, and I doubt you will locate him before I do."

Bruno raised an incomprehensive eyebrow at Nate, who was already getting close to the building's exit. By that, what did Nate mean? It was too late to ask him questions. Bruno was even more enraged
