He held out his phone to the boy and said, "Of course, I'm serious, but there are some conditions. I let you use my phone, but first you can't tell your mother about it. Secondly, you are unable to disclose your location to your father." Sterling was aware that it was unreal. Calling Caiden would be useless if he couldn't tell him where he was. Sterling's true desire was to leave that place. Louis went on, "I know you don't want to be here, Sterling, but I can get Kamara to allow you see your dad, but you'll have to trust me, even if it's a little bit."

Sterling's eyes regained their glitter as his thinking became more open. He quickly reached for the phone, grinning at Louis while he called Caiden's number.

"I agree to your terms."

When he held the phone up to his ear, the sound of his father's voice gave him immense happiness.
