It would be difficult for Caiden to leave the police station. It appeared as though the alpha was the only one with the answer to those people's issues, and Bruno was powerless to help. Before leaving and heading home, he spoke with everyone. In order to stay there and take care of every issue the pack had been having, Caiden believed he had to make sure that someone capable would look after his kids.

He entered the house and found Jessie standing in the center of the space, as though she had been waiting for him. "Is it necessary for this man to reside in our home?" Caiden could not understand the question.

"Which man are you referring to?" He took a different route while walking.

"How can I allow the person who took my brother's place to come into my house whenever he pleases?" she asked, turning to Caiden with a mocking glare.

From across the room, Caiden sneered, "I told him to come, and even if I hadn't, Nate could come here anytime he wants because this house is mine."
